One word FUR!
These are the two brushes that I use every single day! Total must haves for the perfect complexion and contouring.
My 163 Flat Contour Brush! I just got this today and I am thrilled about it I have been waiting for this brush for so long! I originally planed to order this online with a few other products but it actually sold out within days. When I went to my local MAC store one of the artists actually told me I got one of only three they had left, so I got lucky.
This brush is perfect for cream contouring shadows however it is so soft you would have no problem using it with a powder bronzer or blush to make a hard contour line to then buff out with a round brush. I plan on using this brush in conjunction with BenNye’s Cream Shadows; so far they are my favorite cream contouring shadows they almost have a gel like consistency. Generally they are really light and blend extremely well.
Today I went to my local CCO while I was doing some last minute shopping before I head home from my shore house. I only picked up two things because I had everything else. So I got this MAC 136 brush and the small slim mirror.
I am pretty excited to try out the 136 brush I have read great reviews on it. This brush is a powder brush to be used with either a setting powder or a powder foundation. What us unique about this brush is its shape it has the shape of a flat paddle brush but is soft and fluffy like a powder brush. I imagine this brush to be perfect for removing excess setting powder from the under eye.
This is Ben Nye Neutral Set Translucent Setting Powder. This is a product that I learned about on a photo shoot one of my makeup artist used it on me and I could not believe the amazing finish and its ability to provide a perfect satin/matte finish. As you can see I have the 8 oz. jar it does come in various sizes but for the price and if you factor in how much you waste its just more sensible to buy the larger jar.
Many people like to just use the lid to dispense the product to a puff or brush however, to me that just seems a bit unsanitary and because I have sensitive skin I wanted to take adequate procaution. What I chose to do was purchase a refillable powder jar from sephora (as seen in picture) to dispense the product. This helps with mess and prevents the spread of bacteria.
You can apply this product in many ways. I use a MAC Cosmetics Luxury Powder Puff to press the powder into my face, I then use a 150 brush to sweep away the excess powder. If you read the directions on the back of the package it recommends using a damp sponge for application of this product when applying it to preserve a vivid color makeup.
Mineralize Powder Blush in Pressed Amber. This is the blush that I used in the look I posted a few days ago. I bought this blush not sure I would really like it. However, I did fall in love with it and the thing I do like about it is that it has a slight red undertone.

Matchmaster foundation in 2.0
Studio Careblend / Pressed Powder in Light Plus
Mineralize blush in Pressed Amber
Another product I got yesterday at MAC was Studio Careblend / Pressed Powder. The reason I got this was because I’m running out of my Sephora Collection Matifying Compact Foundation in D1-Warm Ivory and I don’t have a Sephora near my summer home. So I chose the shade Light Plus in Studio Careblend and what do you know its a dead ringer. Naturally I’m pretty excited about this because I love Studio Careblends I usually use darker shades for contouring because I love the extra coverage and the finish they provide.
This is my first post on my MacBook Pro 17” so I’m really excited about it!
Anyway, yesterday I got a little carried away at MAC I picked up a few things that I totally could have lived without but this is a foundation that I have read many amazing reviews on. Its the MAC’s Matchmaster SPF15 foundation. When I was choosing this foundation I actually found my shade using a chart that MAC provides listing all of their NC and NW shades and what shade of Matchmaster it corresponds with. I tend to wear an NC20, NC25, or when I’m tanner I will wear an NW25. So this all fell into the 2.0 color. So thats what I got.
I usually would have fussed around with the coloring a bit, however what is really cool about this foundation is that it has translucent pigments in to which allows the foundation to actually enhance your natural undertone of your skin.
Face & Body foundation is heaven sent to this earth! This is my all time favorite foundation. I never use this foundation alone though, I always use another liquid foundations first and then buff Face & Body in over top of it with my Sephora Collection Classic #43 Brush.

Myth Lipstick by MAC Cosmetics gives the perfect matte nude lip! My Fav!
My MAC Cosmetics 179 Body Buffer Brush. This brush came out with the Skinsheen collection back in 2008 it was used with the spray bronzer. I don’t use the brush that way. Although the brush is quite large it makes a great buffer for the face with both cream and liquid foundation.
